CAREER HISTORY
Club Career
The Norwegian-born Diskerud joined Oslo suburban side Stabæk back in 2005 when he signed on with the club's junior team. In 2006, Diskerud, the son of a Norwegian father and an American mother, started playing regularly with Stabæk's B team in the Norwegian Second Division. The midfielder continued playing with the B team until early 2009 when he made his debut with the parent side in the 2009 final of La Manga Cup.

Diskerud saw his first Eliteserien action with Stabæk in March 2009 when he was substituted on in a match versus SK Brann. Diskerud's presence was immediately felt as he scored the tying goal in the 84th minute to help the reigning Eliteserien champions club earn a 1-1 tie.

After spending 2009 as a frequent late-game substitute, "Mix" has become a fixture in Stabæk's midfield in 2010 and has shown the ability to play on the left, right, and center.

International Career
Diskerud's early international career was fraught with controversy and uncertainty. He was plucked out of obscurity by US U-20 manager Thomas Rongen when chosen to participate in a camp with the youth national team in April 2008. He excelled, notching three assists in the first match against Northern Ireland. However, several months later he competed with Norway's U-18 squad against the US.

Eventually, Diskerud committed to the US U-20 team and participated in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt. He is age-eligible for the 2012 Olympic U-23 tournament.
