RECAP: LANDSKRONA 2 – 1 LJUNGSKILE
Jon Van Wagenen - Thursday, July 29, 2010
Michael Thomas continued his impressive start with Ljungskile, notching an early goal in a losing effort.

Due to the proximity of the teams in the standings, this game was described as a six-pointer.

Thomas gave his team the lead in the eighth minute when a deep ball found his partner forward Gabriel Altemark Vanneryr in the penalty box.

An unselfish pass allowed the American to score his first goal in Sweden into an empty net.

Neither team was able to put a shot on target until Landskrona leveled the score in the 50th minute. Fredrick Olsson took a long passed and beat American goalkeeper Nick Noble at the back post.

South African Amethyst Bradley Raleni finally converted on his third shot from long distance five minutes from time as the ball squeezed in past Noble's right post.

It was the third game in a row that Ljungskile has coughed up a lead as part of a stretch that has seen them lose momentum for promotion.

They will have a chance to right the ship against local rivals Örgryte on Sunday.
