PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
Jon Van Wagenen - Friday, July 23, 2010
Nick Noble and newcomer Michael Thomas will have to be up for the task as Ljungskile welcome in promotion contenders Syrianska while Ryan Miller will hope to see time off the bench for Halmstad.

Ljungskile - Syrianska

Ljungskile stumbled across the Superettan's halfway point, with one point in two matches against lowly Öster.

Nick Noble and newcomer Michael Thomas will have to lift their team as another promotion contender comes to town.

Thomas made his debut last week, playing forward rather than midfield as the team drew despite climbing out to 2 – 0 lead.

Syrianska has won three of their last four and sits fourth in the league standings.

Josemar Santana Silva is out with a back injury for the home team.

Denis Velic a midfielder who has played every game so far is suspended for Syrianska.

Notes

Emil Solomonsson seems to have taken Ryan Millers place at right back for Halmstad, who meet IFK Göteborg in Allsvenskan action.

Alejandro Bedoya is likely out with a foot problem as third place Örebro tries to fend off fifth place Elfsborg.

Alejandro Bedoya will be playing. He has been looking very good and eager in training.
