Red-hot DaMarcus Beasley and Rangers will look for their third straight Scottish Premier League victory when they host Motherwell on Saturday at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.
Beasley will likely start the match at right midfielder for head coach Walter Smith whose club has tallied nine goals in their last three league matches.
After sputtering on offense for a large part of the season, the Light Blues' attack has been kickstarted of late with the help of Beasley and Spanish forward Nacho Novo. The pair have been terrorizing the back lines of their most recent opponents and have helped set up numerous scoring opportunities for teammates.
Strikers Kenny Miller and Kris Boyd have been the biggest beneficiaries of the Indiana native and Galician's efforts with Miller scoring twice in Wednesday's victory over Dundee United and Boyd notching two separate two goal games.
The win over the Arabs several days ago also catapulted Rangers to the top of the SPL table as they sit one point ahead of crosstown rivals Celtic.
Motherwell are coming off an incredibly frustrating loss to Celtic which saw the Steelmen cough up a second half lead against the Hoops and fall at home 2-3.
The visitors have not won since October 31st and will be desperate to claim the three points on Saturday.
American Maurice Edu continues to recover from knee surgery and will not be available for Smith. Portuguese midfielder Pedro Mendes is also out until January and primary goalkeeper Allan McGregor is also expected to miss the encounter.
Motherwell has a slew of injuries of their own with Shaun Hutchinson sidelined with a hamstring strain, Chris Humphrey hampered by an ankle injury and the long-term injuries of Marc Fitzpatrick, Darren Smith and Paul Slane who are all recovering from surgery. |

After the confed cup I posted on this site that I thought DMB's international career was over. I'm glad to say that I may have been very wrong! If he stays healthy and keeps playing like this Bob will have to call him in again. BTW, he picked up his 2nd goal in this game. I think that makes 2 goals, 2 assists in 4 starts in a row. Glad to see the old DMB.

Aside from Charlie Davies recuperating 100% before SA 2010, there is nothing that could help this team more the DB getting hot. With his pace on the right side, he makes things happen. The bottom line for this team will always be finding someone to ignite the offense. They're never going to give up a lot of goals so they've got to find some offense
