PREVIEW: BRIGHTON - WYCOMBE WANDERERS
Andrew Vorce - Tuesday, November 17, 2009
Jon-Paul Pittmann looks set to start for the League One outfit as striking options begin to thin at Adams Park, with both teams ending 4-4 in the first game of their FA Cup match-up, forcing a replay.

Pittman fell out of Garry Waddock's favor when Bristol City striker John Akinde was brought in on loan, with the American failing to make the starting line up. Akinde was favored for the start but was forced out seven minutes before half time, allowing Pittman minutes on the field. While Wycombe were slaughtered 6-0, the forward remained lively winning corner after corner for the visitors.

If the Bristol City man is unable to recover from his knock, the fact that Ashley Chambers has been recalled to parent club Leicester City bodes well for the American.

Scott Beavon has been an injury concern for Wycombe, who has been regaining match fitness after his return from a groin injury. Craig Woodman will slot back in at defense after receiving his marching orders in the first game.

Southampton are fresh off a strong 3-1 victory over Southampton, with only Gavin Hoyte expected to miss. The on loan Arsenal defender received his marching orders in the FA Cup first round game, and will be watching from the sidelines.
