PREVIEW: BRAY WANDERERS - SPORTING FINGAL
Gareth Maher - Sunday, November 15, 2009
Chris Konopka and Sporting Fingal know that they are just one win away from sealing promotion to the Premier Division as they take on Bray Wanderers in the second leg of their play-off on Monday.

Following a rain-soaked mud bath last Friday, Sporting slotted into pole position in this promotion/relegation play-off after they secured a 2-0 victory at Morton Stadium.

That result may put Liam Buckley's team in control, but the warning signs of Bray's qualities rang through in the first leg as Sporting keeper Darren Quigley picked up the man of the match award after making a string of superb saves.

Konopka still has a chance of featuring in the second leg at the Carlisle Grounds, although Quigley is expected to keep his place as the starting keeper.

Gary O'Neill and Alan Kirby are hoping to prove their fitness ahead of the clash, but John Frost is likely to remain sidelined due to a nagging injury.

For Bray, Derek Pender has been ruled out and Gary McCabe is considered a doubt. But Stephen Brennan and John Mulroy are now free of suspension.
