PREVIEW: SPORTING FINGAL - BRAY WANDERERS
Gareth Maher - Thursday, November 12, 2009
Sporting Fingal go into Friday's promotion/relegation play-off with Bray Wanderers knowing they are close to Premier Division soccer and Chris Konopka will be hoping to help them achieve that.

A big crowd is expected at Morton Stadium as Sporting, who finished third in the First Division, go toe-to-toe with Bray, who finished bottom in the Premier Division.

The prize on offer is a place in the top flight for next season. Sporting have done well to reach this stage after beating Shelbourne 2-1 earlier in the week, but this game will be different as they are expected to beat The Seagulls.

Alan Kirby could be healthy in time to feature, but John Frost is still a major doubt. However, Liam Buckley will have both Robert Bayly and Robbie Doyle available after they served suspensions.

Konopka stayed on the bench for the Shelbourne game and will anxiously wait to see if manager Liam Buckley decides to drop Darren Quigley for him or not.

Bray are low on confidence going into this match and to make matters worse they will be forced to go into battle with two players. Stephen Brennan and John Mulroy are suspended for Eddie Gormley's team.
