PREVIEW: RBC ROOSENDAAL - HELMOND SPORT
Arch Bell - Thursday, November 12, 2009
Charles Kazlauskas and Helmond Sport head west on Friday evening to take on RBC Roosendaal at RBC Stadion in Roosendaal.

Birthday boy Kazlauskas will assume his normal starting position at midfielder for Helmond head coach Jürgen Streppel. The Wisconsin native turned 27 years old on Thursday.

After starting their Eerste Divisie season with a very solid first period, Kazlauskas and company have not fared as well in the second period thus complicating their chances at winning the outright league title.

Three points on the road against a Roosendaal club that fared even worse this period would provide a boost of confidence to Helmond as the third period nears.

Times have been hard for the hosts who were relegated from the Eredivisie back in 2006. Both coaching upheavals and financial problems have plagued the squad in recent years giving the home fans little hope for promotion aspirations.

Sjaak Lettinga and Sjoerd Winkens are still out with long term injuries and will be unavailable for Helmond.

Roosendaal head coach Rini Coolen will not have left back Sjaak Polak and goalkeeper Arjan Christianen at his disposal due to injuries while striker Ralf Seuntjens' status is uncertain due to illness.
