PREVIEW: WEST HAM - ASTON VILLA
Andrew Vorce - Tuesday, November 3, 2009
With play raging on in Europe, Jonathan Spector will face Brad Friedel in the lone Premier League game in midweek.

West Ham were suspected of falling asleep over the weekend, giving up a two goal lead as 10-man Sunderland came back to earn a draw. Villa have also been draw specialists, earning ties in their last three matches.

Villa will be without two players after the weekend test against the Toffees, but for two different reasons. James Milner was forced off at halftime due to a knee injury while Carlos Cuellar received two bookings and was sent off.

Stiliyan Petrov is also an injury concern with a knee injury, while Curtis Davies is out with a dislocated shoulder. Stewart Downing is a month away from his return from an ankle injury.

West Ham will be without Kieron Dyer and Dean Ashton, as the pair suffers from a hamstring and ankle injury, respectively. Luis Boa Morte is the only other Hammer out, suffering from an ACL knee injury. Radoslav Kovac will also be out for the home team after receiving two yellows against Sunderland.
