TABE PLEASED WITH FINISH
Isaac Heath - Wednesday, October 28, 2009
After a terrible start to the Superatten, Etchu Tabe and the rest of the American contingent helped Ljungskile round out the last seven games without a defeat, en route to a ninth place finish.

The former Georgia State player, along with fellow American Ryan Miller, has been a mainstay on defense for the Swedish club, making the most of his opportunity in his second year in Europe.

"We just finished off the season on a good note, so I am happy about that," Tabe recently expressed to YA.

With Colin Burns making an exit from the club, and both Miller and Tabe coming to the end of their contracts, there has been much speculation as to the fate of the two players.

Tabe, who played forward at the collegiate level, has made great strides as a professional and his performances this year should earn him a new contract with Ljungskile or another European club.

While Miller recently relayed to YA that he is leaning towards staying at Ljungskile, Tabe remains uncertain about his future.

"I'm not sure about next year. For now I just want to rest some nagging injuries I played through during the season so I can get healthy and fit again," he concluded.

Ljungskile will hope to earn promotion back to the Allsvenskan starting in April of 2010, when the Superettan season begins.
