Kamani Hill has declined a contract offer from German 3 Bundesliga club Erzgebirge Aue, opting to wait until summer to make his move away from Wolfsburg.
"I really considered it," Hill told YA "I took all the pros and cons into account, but decided it just wasn't the right fit for me."
Hill had been training with the eastern German club since last week.
His play in the second half in Monday's friendly game against Cottbus' reserve team was enough to earn an offer from the recently relegated Violets, however the former UCLA Bruin has decided to bide his time and weigh his options for a summer move
"I have some opportunities that I'm tracking down now for the summer that are looking pretty optimistic," the former U-20 star explained, "More optimistic than anything I've had before."
Despite making several Bundesliga appearances for Wolfsburg's first team in early 2007, Hill has fallen out of favor with his coaches, finding himself unable to earn a place with Wolfsburg's reserve team.
Facing months of inactivity until he's able to officially sign with a new team, Hill is now focusing keeping fit in the interim.
"In the meantime, I'm looking for training opportunities until summer." |
