PREVIEW: WEEKEND NORWEGIAN ACTION
Friday, June 6, 2008
Brian Waltrip and Molde face Lyn in their last game before the summer break, while Carence Goodson's Start takes on a Cam Weaver-less FK Haugesund.

Molde – FC Lyn

Buoyed by last weekend's win over reigning champions Brann, Molde and Brian Waltrip will be full of confidence ahead of their clash with Lyn.

Molde are currently 11th in the standings while Lyn are seventh, but there are just three points between them.

Midfielder Thomas Holm is a doubt for Molde after missing out on their last game with an injury, while Lyn are still without long term absentee Jimmy Tamandi.

Brian Waltrip has started Molde's two last games in the league and is expected to do so again.

IK Start – FK Haugesund

Clarence Goodson and Cam Weaver would have faced off in the Adeccoligaen this weekend, but the yellow card Weaver received last weekend was his third this season and in Norway that means a one match-ban.

Weaver's tally of four goals this season makes him Haugesund's top scorer, and they could have used him here as Start's defensive record of only eight goals conceded is the second best in the division.

Start are currently on route for promotion to the Tippeligaen, sitting comfortably in second, while Haugesund's mixed fortunes in recent weeks have seen them slip down to 11th.

While Cam Weaver will be serving his suspension, Clarence Goodson is expected to start the game for Start.

IL Hødd - Sandnes Ulf

Kyle Veris' Hødd take on Sandnes Ulf at home this weekend and will be desperate to get three points between themselves and the teams below them.

Hødd are just a few point above the drop-zone in 13th place, while Sandnes Ulf are in eighth after an impressive start to the season by their standards.

After missing out on the last couple of games with a hamstring-injury, Veris is expected to be back in the Hødd lineup for this one.

Notes

Adin Brown and Pat Noonan will both miss Aalesund's encounter with Lillestrøm this weekend.

Brian West is not expected to make the roster for Fredrikstad as they take on Tromsø.

Mikkel Diskerud is not expected to make the roster as Stabæk travel to Strømsgodset.

Chris Rodd is expected to be back on the bench for Bryne as they take on Odd Grenland, while Matthew Allen will miss out altogether with an injury.

Jay Needham will miss out on Alta's clash with NIL-Trysil with an ankle-injury.
