Young midfield ace Adu makes roster

US Soccer announced the roster of 22 players that will square off against England next week at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Bob Bradley's roster generally consists of players who currently reside with their clubs overseas, eight of which play in England and will face many of the players they saw throughout the recently completed club schedule. Although most of the players compete in Europe, three of the players called upon are currently in early season form in Major League Soccer.

Chivas USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan, who had an opportunity to move to Europe during the winter transfer window was squashed, has been called in to the camp. Along the reigning MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Bradley also called in LA Galaxy striker Landon Donovan - who will make his 100th appearance for the Red, White and Blue against England - and midfielder Ricardo Clark from the Houston Dynamo.

The US could rely on the Fulham striking tandem of Client Dempsey and Eddie Johnson up front, while Everton's Tim Howard will certainly play a part in-between the pipes. Defenders Carlos Bocanegra and Jonathan Spector, along with Watford's Jay DeMerit, will certainly know their all England-based attack well. Recently relegated Derby County will provide midfielder Benny Feilhaber and Eddie Lewis to Bradley's final roster.

Donovan could face his Galaxy teammate David Beckham, a recent 100 cap winner himself, as he was named to England's 31 man roster by head coach Fabio Capello. Along with Beckham the Italian head coach has called in four players from Premier League Champions Manchester United and another five from runner-up Chelsea. Beckham is the only player of the 31 who isn't currently signed on to a team in the Premier League.

England defeated the US 2-1 the last time these two teams faced each other three years years ago to the day at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. The Americans last appeared on English soil in September of 1994 when they fell 2-0 at the original Wembley Stadium
