BRADLEY NAMES 33 FOR UPCOMING FRIENDLIES
Rich Fidler - Friday, May 16, 2008
Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley has announced a group of 33 players from which he'll pull his 22 rostered players for the upcoming friendlies against England and Spain on European soil, and Argentina in New Jersey.

The roster consists of many players just wrapping up their European seasons, including the trio of Carlos Bocanegra, Clint Dempsey and Eddie Johnson who just last weekend secured Fulham's place in the Premiership for another season with a dramatic late season climb. Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard and defender Jonathan Spector from West Ham are the only other players joining the team from England's top division.

Major League Soccer provides a majority of the players in the pool including three from the leagues current top team in Columbus. The Crew have ageless defender Frankie Hejduk along with youngsters Eddie Gaven and Robbie Rogers on the watch-list of Bradley following their impressive start to the MLS season under head coach Sigi Schmid.

The pool is littered with players who recently helped the U23 squad qualify for the Olympics later this summer in Beijing under assistant coach Peter Nowak. Goalkeepers Dominic Cervi and Chris Seitz, along with defenders Spector and Michael Orozco from San Luis in Mexico start the group. They are joined by midfielders Freddy Adu, Maurice Edu, Sacha Kljestan, and Gaven as well as New York Red Bull's striker Jozy Altidore.

The US will first travel to England on May 28th before facing Spain a week later at Estadio El Sardinero in Santander. They'll wrap up the trio of friendlies against impressive foes Argentina on Sunday, June 8th before heading into World Cup qualification games. Argentina.
