RANGERS SEAL BEASLEY SWITCH
Wednesday, June 27, 2007
DaMarcus Beasley has completed the long-rumored move from PSV Eindhoven to Rangers FC, becoming the second American after Claudio Reyna to sign for the Scotland giants.

The 25-year-old US international has signed a three-year deal with the Ibrox club for an undisclosed fee, subject to a work permit being granted. The winger's transfer had been delayed due to the USA's participation in the Gold Cup.

"We can confirm that [Beasley] has joined Rangers," the club's Carol Patton told YA. "A work permit should be just a formality and upon its approval he will be a Rangers player for the next three seasons."

Beasley joined PSV in a $2.5 million deal in 2004 after more than four and a half seasons with Major League Soccer franchise Chicago Fire. After two years in Holland, the Hoosier spent the 2006/07 campaign on loan deal at Manchester City where he tallied four goals in 22 appearances between Premiership and FA Cup play.

The two-time World Cup star is due to join up with his new teammates in Germany on July 12th for the start of preseason.
