According to his agent, former Notre Dame skipper Greg Dalby is currently attempting to book his third European trial with a mystery club.
"We are just in the process of setting it up, but I can't say where right now," David Baldwin told YA.
Dalby has already auditioned for Swiss top flighters FC Aarau and Serie A battlers Siena, who still could make an offer if they resolve their non-European Union roster limit issues.
The midfielder also spent two days last week with St. Pauli, but Baldwin claims the visit was merely to keep the player in shape.
"He didn't go there on trial as some were saying," he asserted. "We had a few days where he wasn't doing anything, so he trained with them."
"(Siena) are still trying to get rid of one non-EU player. I think they want to come to him with something."
Dalby, the US captain at the 2005 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, was selected as the 17th overall pick in January's MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids. |
