Former LA Galaxy defender Benjamin Benditson has failed to win a contract offer from SAS Liga club Viborg and will now try his luck with second flight title contenders SønderjyskE.
The 23-year old could not quite convince Greens boss Anders Linderoth, despite being held over for a second week in camp.
"The coach thought he performed well," stated VFF press officer Peder Henriksen. "The main reason he was not offered a contract is the coach thought he should perform better than the other players we have to get one."
Benditson moves south to show his wares for SønderjyskE, who stand third at the winter break, only two points behind tabletop Lyngby.
The Tarzana, California native, who saw his 2006 MLS season cut shirt by hernia surgery, also recently auditioned for NEC Nijmegen and Wycombe Wanderers. |
