PSV Eindhoven winger DaMarcus Beasley has clinched a season's loan to Manchester City just before the transfer window closed for the summer.
"DaMarcus is thrilled to be joining a club with the history and support of Manchester City, and cannot wait to for his EPL debut," agent Lyle Yorks told YA.
"He reports back to Manchester this Sunday and will take part in his first training session this upcoming Monday."
The Dutch champs completed the signings of Patrick Kluivert and Diego Tardelli on Thursday, which left the US international surplus to coach Ronald Koeman's requirements.
Beasley was unfortunate to miss much of PSV's preseason preparations with a hamstring nag, but has recovered and watched their weekend loss to FC Twente in uniform.
The #11 shirt was also recently linked with a return to MLS, but assumed that he would remain at Philips Stadion this season until the Blues came calling.
Citizens boss Stuart Pearce was eager to bring in a left flank reinforcement, having quickly soured on loan projects Kiki Musampa and Albert Riera.
Two-time World Cup participant Beasley will now reunite with former US captain Claudio Reyna at the City of Manchester Stadium. |
