PREVIEW: WEEKEND DUTCH ACTION
Friday, March 31, 2006
DaMarcus Beasley will try to inch closer to the championship at lowly RBC, only a night after Lee Nguyen produced some Young PSV heroics.

RBC Roosendaal - PSV Eindhoven

DaMarcus Beasley is likely to hang onto his starting spot when the holders travel south to face the cellar dwellers.

De Boeren can clinch a title repeat with three Saturday points and anything less than a win from AZ Alkmaar, who host NAC Breda, on Sunday.

Arouna Koné’s status for the match is shaky, and André Ooijer remains out.

Lee Nguyen will not dress on the weekend, but was the last minute goal hero as Young PSV topped visiting Volendam on Thursday night.

This match could get ugly as RBC boss Robert Maaskant is missing veteran backs Arjen Ebbinge, José Fortes Rodriguez and Robert Molenaar.

To make matters worse, PSV have won all four trips to Roosendaal by a combined 13-3 count.

ADO Den Haag – Willem II

US defender Cory Gibbs looks set to get the nod in defense as ADO attempt to break a peculiar losing streak to the Tricolores.

Frans Adelaar’s boys have been defeated 1-0 by the Tilburg crew five times in a row.

Captain Spira Grujic remains in recovery from elbow surgery, while left back Youssef El-Akchaoui is suspended.

The visitors arrive Saturday night without #1 keeper Oscar Moens (foot) and attacker Martijn Reuser (ban), with striker Iwan Redan a major doubt.

While ADO are busy climbing away from the drop zone on the strength of four wins in six, Willem II have lost three straight to move closer to the relegation playoffs.

Yanks Abroad's Greg Seltzer will be in attendance to file a Press Box Report.

De Graafschap – TOP Oss

Charles Kazlauskas will retain his right back place when the North Brabant dreamers try to record their eighth win in nine games Friday night.

The Super Farmers also enter play in fine form with a nine-match unbeaten streak, but their last four contests have ended in draws.

TOP won this season’s prior meeting 1-0, but dropped the two clashes before that.

Notes

Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley returned from an ankle knock to play 90 minutes in a Reserves loss to Young NEC Nijmegen on Thursday night, but is not likely to dress when the senior sides meet on Saturday.
