RECAP: WEEKEND DANISH ACTION
Sunday, March 5, 2006
Danny Califf and Aalborg advanced to the DONG Pokal semifinals with a spine tingling penalty kicks victory, while the B1909 boys saw their contest postponed.

Aalborg BK 2-2 (9-8 pk) OB Odense

US defender Danny Califf went the distance as AaB clinched a place in the Danish Cup final four with a wild 9-8 spot kick victory over Odense on Sunday night.

Michael Jakobsen put Aalborg ahead just before the break, the visitors finally retaliating through Søren Berg with 16 minutes to play.

Jeppe Curth restored the advantage with three minutes left, only to have Junior knot things up again near the death.

Califf was due up next when Jimmy Nielsen stopped Martin Borre's penalty try to send AaB onward.

Notes

B1909 Yanks Jonothon Carlos Elliott and Joe Zewe will have to wait a little longer to tackle top flight quarterfinal opponent Esbjerg, with Sunday's home match moved to the 15th.
