PSV Eindhoven winger DaMarcus Beasley says the team's ability stay in confident control when the chips are down is the main reason they are defending champions on the fast track to a repeat.
"That's what makes champions," the US star told YA. "We don't panic, we just keep pushing."
The Farmers currently hold both a six-game winning streak and a five-point tabletop cushion despute struggling for form in early 2006.
The attack has sorely missed target fulcrum Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, and yet Jefferson Farfán is making the most of limited chances while filling in at striker.
During their victory run, PSV have had to come from behind twice and boast four match winners scored after the 70th minute.
"We don't throw nine guys forward looking to score," said Beasley. "From the first minute, we are very calm. We just go fight, and get a goal (when needed)."
The club visit Vitesse on Friday before beginning Champions League knockout play at home against familiar foe Lyon on Tuesday.
