Nordsjælland wingback sensation Heath Pearce isn't sure how soon he'll be asked back by Bruce Arena, but seems too busy enjoying the excitement surrounding his first international appearance to worry about it much.
The confident left back had a promising cameo for the US against Scotland, working the final 13 minutes from midfield - an experience he is still soaking up.
"To come on the field at Hampden Park wearing the US jersey was amazing," Pearce told YA. "The atmosphere was good and the game was a lot of fun. I wish I had more time to be out there with the guys, but I am satisfied with my first camp and first match."
"The US Coaches told me that I would be hearing from them soon, but did not say whether I should expect to come to camp or anything. But just to be in camp this time was exceptional and I hope I can build on it."
Normally a left back with Nordsjælland, Pearce has virtually come from out of nowhere to get his foot in Arena's World Cup selection door.
Teammate Francis Dickoh also earned his first cap last week, so the small Danish club is beaming with pride these days.
"My coaches were very excited for me," Pearce said. "The center back who plays next to me at my club got his first call into the national team of Ghana, so it brought a lot of attention and recognition to the club."
"My assistant coach Morten Weighorst is a former player for Celtic, so when I got my first cap playing at Hampden Park, he was very happy for me."
