PREVIEW: WEEKEND DUTCH ACTION
Friday, October 14, 2005
Once again, DaMarcus Beasley is the only Eredivisie Yank fit for the weekend league schedule.

PSV Eindhoven - AZ Alkmaar

The holders begin the most challenging week of the season to date with a visit from tabletop AZ Alkmaar on Saturday afternoon.

Guus Hiddink's men will will try not to get caught looking forward to Wednesday's Champions League rematch at AC Milan and next weekend's clash with Ajax.

DaMarcus Beasley is ready to go, but could work from the bench in one of the week's league matches to give Champions League ineligible Arouna Koné the start.

PSV are still without Michael Ball, John de Jong and Theo Lucius, but rehabbed Michael Reiziger looks set to make the selection.

AZ recently saw the reserves return of Joris Mathijsen, but this game will probably come to soon for the Holland defender.

The Cheese Farmers suffered a 5-1 defeat in last year's Philips Stadion visit, but pulled out a 1-0 away victory the season prior.

Yanks Abroad's Greg Seltzer will be at Philips Stadion to file a Press Box Report.

Notes

John O'Brien remains in recovery from a groin injury and will miss ADO Den Haag's trip to Vitesse.

Cory Gibbs is recuperating from knee surgery in Florida as Feyenoord host Groningen for a Sunday matinee.
