SANTIAGO BEDOYA BEGINS OREBRO TRIAL

With the summer transfer window now open and many European clubs looking to acquire new players, Northeastern University left back Santiago Bedoya will depart for Sweden and go on a trial with Orebro of Sweden's top league, the Allsvenskan.

Bedoya, 21, is set to begin the trial this weekend and it will run through August 6. While at Orebro, Bedoya will play with his older brother Alejandro who is both a fixture for the club and likely to be a regular for the US national team in the 2014 cycle.

THOMAS RELEASED FROM HALMSTAD

Michael Thomas is on the hunt for a new employer after being given his release by Swedish Allsvenskan club Halmstads BK.

Thomas had signed with the club prior to this season after a successful trial during the winter offseason.

BRADLEY SCOUTING YANKS IN SCANDINAVIA

National team coach Bob Bradley took a covert scouting trip this past weekend and Kristiansand, Norway and Örebro, Sweden were on the itinerary.

First, he showed up to see IK Start's Clarence Goodson have a good game against Sandefjord where the defender earned Man of the Match honors by the local media.
