Setanta has announced the end to its US broadcast on March 1st, allowing for Fox's new "Fox Soccer Plus" channel to make it's debut.
We reported some about this briefly in an earlier blog post, but Wednesday it was made official.

Fox Soccer Channel has announced that a new, all-soccer channel will be added to their repertoire - Fox Soccer Plus. The feeds for games that currently run on Setanta are sublicensed from Fox, but those sublicenses apparently end at the end of February, at which point Fox is letting the license expire and will use the feeds to launch the new Plus channel on March 1.
The best news - High Definition soccer is finally coming across the pond. Yes, it's only about three years late to the party. But hey, better late than never! Only two and a half more months of grainy feeds!

YA has learned that USA U20 forward Juan Agudelo has not yet signed a contract with Colombian team Deprtivo Millonarios.
Deportivo Millonarios press officer, Gustavo Monje, told YA that Agudelo had been with the club in recent weeks and had played in preseason games but despite that, no deal has yet been reached.

Jozy Altidore has a new striker in his midst - Amir Zaki, the Egyptian international formerly of Wigan Athletic.
Hull City officially announced the loan deal for Zaki on Tuesday, which will last until the end of the Premiership season.

Sources have told YA that USA defender Gale Agbossoumonde is on the verge of signing a deal with Portugese club Sporting Braga. While the deal has not been completely finalized, the parties remain close. At this time it is unclear if the pending deal is a loan or a full transfer.
YA has also been able to confirm that Agbossoumonde, 18, has been training with Sporting Braga since December 28, 2009. Sporting Braga are currently tied with Benfica for first place in the Portuguese Liga table. Both clubs have 33 points through 14 games.

Reports out of Great Britain have Ricardo Clark garnering interest from English Premier League side Burnley FC and Scottish powerhouse Celtic FC. The American midfielder's contract with Major League Soccer expires December 31st and he is set to move come the January transfer window.
After seven years in MLS, Clark is now keen on seeking a team abroad and, unlike his Houston Dynamo team-mate Stuart Holden, is not considering re-signing with MLS. The 26-year-old midfielder made it clear to the Houston front office via email that he will not return and plans to sign a contract with a European team.

The LA Galaxy captain will join the Toffees squad at the start of the January transfer window and will remain with the team until March 15, in line with details set forth in Thursdsay's press conference announcing his groundbreaking contract with the 2009 MLS Cup finalists.
