After beginning the season struggling for minutes, Oguchi Onyewu looks to earn another start on Saturday when Malaga visit Getafe

Málaga - Getafe

Oguchi Onyewu and Málaga travel to Madrid to face seventh place Getafe on Saturday and are looking to stay in the top four in the Spanish League.

Getafe comes into the match having won two straight La Liga matches and moving into the next round of the Copa del Rey by easily ousting Ponferradina earlier in the week. Málaga needed away goals to get by scrappy Cacereño to book their ticket in the round of 16 in the Spanish Cup tournament.

After nearly being relegated last season, Getafe has exceeded expectations thus far and have won seven of their last ten matches in all competitions. Málaga has lacked consistency this season and have only one win out of their last seven matches. Málga's defense and their ability to slow down Getafe's midfield threats Diego Castro, Abdelaziz Barrada and Pedro León will be the key to this match.

Onyewu played 90 minutes earlier in the week in the Copa del Rey and has only started one La Liga match so far this season. The Anchovies will be without defender Nacho Monreal and midfielder Júlio Baptista, who are both recovering from injuries. Getafe hasn't made any injuries public at this time.

Carlos Bocanegra is rehabbing a hamstring injury and will not play as Racing Santander take on Almería on Sunday.
