PREVIEW: MIDWEEK ENGLISH ACTION
Conor Doyle hopes to feature as Derby County take on Cardiff City while Robbie Findley and Nottingham Forest host Reading in midweek Championship action.
Derby County - Cardiff City
Conor Doyle and Derby County take on Cardiff City in Wednesday Championship action.
Doyle came off the bench to play 17 minutes in Derby's win over Portsmouth last weekend. The young American forward could get time once again this midweek.
Derby's victory last weekend snapped their five game winless skid and they hope that momentum will carry over into Wednesday's matchup. The Rams are currently in fifth place in the Championship, just six points from the leaders Southampton.
Cardiff are coming off a tie against Leeds United last weekend but would rather have a win this Tuesday. They trail Derby by just three points in the standings and know a win would bolster them into a playoff spot.
Derby's Mark O'Brien looks to miss due to an injury sustained in the first half of their weekend game against Portsmouth.
Nottingham Forest - Reading
Robbie Findley and Nottingham Forest take on Reading in Tuesday Championship play.
Findley played 17 minutes off the bench in Forest's loss to Hull City during the weekend. The short turnaround could mean a start for the former Real Salt Lake striker.
Forest's loss to Hull City broke the momentum they were gaining after winning two games in a row prior. They hope to get back to winning ways on Tuesday.
Reading are on an eight game unbeaten streak, yet in that string of games they have only won three. They are currently in 16th place in the Championship standings.
Greg Cunningham is questionable to feature for Forest because of injury. George Boateng, Chris Cohen, Dexter Blackstone, Paul Anderson, and Garath McCleary are definitely out for Tuesday's matchup.
