PULISIC, WEAH ON THE MEND
There is some good news to report as both Christian Pulisic and Timothy Weah are returning to full fitness when their respective teams will need them most.
It was announced on Friday by Lille head coach Christophe Galtier that Weah has been deemed fit after being out of action since August with a leg injury.
"Timothy Weah is fit," Galtier was quoted as saying on Lille's Twitter account. He went on to add that it was too early to decide whether the 19-year-old would be included in the line-up for their game against Olympique Marseille on Sunday as he needed to make up for midfield and defensive players who will be missing.
It's a good possibility that Weah could see action as Benjamin Andre and Xeka are suspended for the French Ligue 1 clash.
Over to the Premier League, and Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard announced on Friday that Christian Pulisic has been training with the Under-23 team ahead of his return to the first team. However, he will not be included in the team that will face Manchester United on Monday.
The 21-year-old winger has been out of the London-based team since January with an abductor injury.
Pulisic was scheduled to return to the team by mid-February but suffered a setback, which pushed back the timetable.
While both Pulisic and Weah are returning to full fitness, it unknown whether they will be called up for U.S. national team's March friendlies.
