PREVIEW: WEEKEND DANISH ACTION
Babajide Ogunbiyi and Viborg will look to regain some ground on the league top spot while Sebastien Ibeagha and Fredericia look to stop their slide towards the drop zone.
Viborg FF - Brønshøj BK
Having fallen a full game behind the league lead, Babajide Ogunbiyi will be pushing hard for the win at home on Sunday when Brønshøj come to visit.
Recent shakiness by Viborg, which has seen them unable to string together consecutive wins since late-September, has seen them fallen from their previous place of dominance atop the First Division standings.
While still occupying one of the two spots destined for promotion to the Superliga, they are only three points ahead of third-place Vendsyssel, and will want to solidify their position before heading into the long winter break in a few weeks.
They are facing a Brønshøj squad who, despite a rough start to the season during which they failed to pick up a win through their first 11 games, has been unbeatable since early-September.
Viborg did get the better of them in their first game more than three months ago, and will be looking to repeat in front of their home crowd on Sunday.
Viborg will be missing Kevin Mensah due to injury while Brønshøj are not reporting any absences.
FC Fredericia - Skive IK
Sebastien Ibeagha and Fredericia will look to regroup from last weekend's heartbreaking loss and take a home win over Skive on Sunday.
Fredericia looked headed to a tough-fought scoreless draw on Sunday at AB Copenhagen, but a remarkable opposing goal on practically the final kick of the game saw them slump to yet another defeat.
All-together, the team has not won a game since late-September, and are sitting dangerously close to the drop zone, with a mere two-point gap ahead of the bottom two.
They are facing a Skive team who has been far from impressive as of late, but has still managed to do enough to sit a secure sixth place in the standings, well clear of any danger for the moment.
Fredericia can take some hope from the fact that one of their three wins this season came in their first game against Skive in August, and a repeat in front of the home crowd in their penultimate game of 2015 would all but assure they will enter the long winter break above water.
Fredericia are without Jesper Christiansen and Christian Ege Nielsen, both of whom are out due to suspensions while Skive is not reporting any unavailable players.
Mayowa Alli will likely be a bench option for Vendsyssel FF on Sunday when they host AB Copenhagen.
