KYLE SCHNITZER - Friday, November 22, 2013
After defeating Portland 4-2 in the first leg, Real Salt Lake look to extend their nine-game winning streak against the Timbers, as the second leg of the Western Conference Championship kicks off Sunday night.

Real Salt Lake was fueled by a strong performance by Robbie Findley, who scored a goal and had an assist in the first-leg victory at home. RSL defender Chris Schuler has scored in two consecutive matches and will look to continue his rise to stardom within the MLS.

Although Portland has not lost at home since the second game of the season, the last time a team survived a two-goal deficit was in 2004.

Uncertainty continues to loom over Real Salt Lake's leading scorer, Alvaro Saborio, who is still recovering from a muscle strain that occurred against the LA Galaxy on Nov. 7th. The team will be without defender Chris Wingert, who suffered a fractured rib in the first leg of the series.

Portland's defense has allowed three or more goals just five times this season, but three of those times have come against Real Salt Lake. The Timbers do not have any notable injuries, as all players look to contribute to pushing their side to the MLS Championship game.

The second leg of the Western Conference Championship is set to kick off at 9 p.m. at Jeld-Wen Field, where the game can be seen on ESPN.
