DC UNITED TO HEAD TO ASIA
KRIS LINDSAY - Tuesday, November 5, 2013
DC United, following their last place finish in MLS while winning the US Open Cup, will head to Southeast Asia in a post season tour to take on Indonesian clubs Persib Bandung and Arema FC.

The matches will take place on December 6th and December 8th, respectively.

Both clubs hail from the Indonesian Super League, with Persib Bandung holding the largest national following, and having won the league seven times.

"These matches will provide global exposure for our club and league in a market where soccer is ingrained in the daily lifestyle of the region," DC United Chief Operating Officer Michael Williamson told Full Volley and Yanks Abroad.

DC United ended their season with a 2-1 loss to the Houston Dynamo, but qualified earlier for a position in the CONCACAF Champions League with a 1-0 defeat of Real Salt Lake in the US Open Cup.
