SPECTOR HOPEFUL FOR QUICK RECOVERY
After being removed from Birmingham City's most recent match in the first half, Jonathan Spector is optimistic for a quick return to the field for the Blues.
Spector, 27, left Birmingham City's 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough on March 16 in just the fourth minute after suffering an ankle injury. Initially it was thought that it was possibly a serious injury with ligament damage but subsequent tests have shown it not to be as severe.
The Chicago native is hopeful for a return to the field for Birmingham City's game against fourth place Crystal Palace on Friday.
"Jonathan is hopeful of being available for selection for this Friday's game at Crystal Palace," Birmingham press officer Andy Walker told YA on Tuesday night. "I'm sure the manager will update the media further in his pre-match briefing on Thursday."
Birmingham City currently sits in 12th place in the English Championship and are 10 points out of sixth place and a spot in the promotional playoffs.
