USA TO PLAY BRAZIL IN AUGUST
The new cycle begins with Brazil
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Saturday, May 29, 2010
The USSF confirmed the US national team will play Brazil at the new Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey on August 10 at 8pm EST. It will be the first game for the US of the 2014 cycle.

The US has played Brazil three times during the present cycle. While Brazil won all three games, two of them were very competitive. The Confederations Cup final was the most recent game and in that game the US scored two goals in the first half but Brazil scored three in the second half to come out as eventual victors.

It will also be the first US game at the brand new Medowlands Stadium which is a strong candidate to be part of either the 2018 or 2022 World Cup should the USSF's bid be successful.
