PREDICTED SEPTEMBER USMNT ROSTER
The safest of bets is Jozy Altidore
The United States national team has become a lot more competitive and it is a tough team to make
The September qualifiers will be where Jurgen Klinsmann finally puts his entire team together based on three very important and successful learning experiences this summer.
The World Cup qualifiers saw many of the established core gel and surge into first place in Concacaf qualifying. The Gold Cup saw other new players make their case. In addition, Landon Donovan has reemerged as a force within the team. The experimental roster against Bosnia brought newcomers John Anthony Brooks and Aron Johannsson into the fold.
So with the three learning experiences behind him, how will Klinsmann put the team together? Tough decisions will have to be made.
There is one new face that could potentially emerge. Eric Lichaj is one of the few American playing right backs in Europe and has earned positive reviews in his first few games for Nottingham Forest. Michael Parkhurst, Timothy Chandler, Steve Cherundolo, and Johnathan Spector are all either injured or not playing. Geoff Cameron can play right back but he is best used within the U.S team as a central defender or defensive midfielder.
