HOLDEN STARTS FOR BOLTON'S RESERVES
Holden is progressing in his comeback
US national team midfielder Stuart Holden made an impressive return to competitive action going 70 minutes for Bolton's reserve team today.
It was announced before the game by Bolton that Holden would start for the reserve team in a game against Oldham's reserves and numerous reports from those in attendance were that Holden looked both fit and sharp.
Holden left the game healthy in the 70th minute with Bolton leading the game 2-0 but Bolton would add another after the American left to finish the game 3-0.
For Holden, this is his second game in his return to injury with his first being a closed door friendly last week. The Scottish-born American has been sidelined since March, 2011 after being on the wrong end of a vicious tackle by Manchester United's Jonny Evans.
