After parting with Danish second division club Vejle BK this past spring following a groin injury, American left back Euan Holden went on trial at St. Mirren of the Scottish Premier League but the club has reportedly passed.

New Jersey native Niko Gkionis has been informed by St. Mirren of the Scottish Premier League that they will not be offering him a contract for the upcoming season.

Niko Gkionis was given the chance to show St. Mirren how good he is as the Saints defeated second division Ayr United 3-1 Wednesday night in their first friendly of the pre-season.
