JOHN KRETLOW - Tuesday, March 5, 2013
Jonathan Spector looks to help Birmingham City's backline in their match against Blackpool, while Frank Simek's Carlisle United travel to play Crawley Town in League One play.

Birmingham City - Blackpool

Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City welcome Blackpool to St. Andrew's in a midweek Championship battle.

Spector is expected to feature, while Will Packwood is injured for the season and will not see the field.

The Blues have just one win in their last five games, and will need to start garnering points to separate themselves from the bottom three. They are six points above the drop zone.

Blackpool is tied with Birmingham in points and is also in need of points. They have gone four games winless and have not scored a goal since their tally against Millwall in early February.

Marlon King will not feature for the Blues as he is out for the season with a knee injury.

Because of Birmingham City's big loss to Hull City at the weekend, manager Lee Clark could make several changes to his starting lineup.

Blackpool will be without Chris Basham, Bob Harris, and Ian Evatt.

Crawley Town - Carlisle United

Frank Simek and Carlisle United look to get back to winning ways as they take on Crawley Town on the road in the midweek.

Simek and company are coming off a loss to Notts County on Saturday. The Cumbrians have also gone winless in their last five league games, leaving them just five points above the drop zone.

Town are in 12th place, but still trail Tranmere Rovers by eleven points for the last promotion playoff position. With games dwindling in the season, they will need to start maximizing their points, starting with a win against Carlisle.

Seb Hines and Middlesbrough take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday.

Conor Doyle hopes to feature in Derby County's match against first place Cardiff City.

Zak Whitbread could feature in Leicester City's game against Leeds United.

Stuart Holden and Tim Ream look to see the field in Bolton's game against Blackburn.

Jon Paul Pittman and Oxford United take on Rotherham United in midweek League Two action.
