PREVIEW: BURSASPOR - SIVASSPOR
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
ANDY SCHREUR - Wednesday, February 27, 2013
Maurice Edu and Bursaspor concludeTurkish Cup play on Thursday when they host Sivasspor at the Bursa Atatürk Stadium.

After reaching the finals of the Turkish Cup last year, Bursaspor have struggled in Group A play and currently sit in third place with four points and are mathematically eliminated from moving on.

In their first meeting in group play, Sivasspor defeated Bursaspor 2-1, which started a three match losing streak in Cup play for Edu and the Green Crocodiles. Bursaspor have not won a Cup match since their opening match in December.

Both clubs will likely rest starters in the Cup match on Thursday as Sivasspor cannot catch Fenerbahçe, who have won Group A with 13 points. Edu may see playing time as he will be suspended for this week's Süper Lig clash, also against Sivasspor after picking up two yellow cards in last week's loss against Gaziantepspor.

Sivasspor will remain in Bursa ahead of Sunday's league clash and currently sit in 11th place with 29 points. Bursaspor are currently in fourth with 34 points.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
