Anderlecht got the job done up in Brussels last night as they came away with a 1-0 victory over Gent in Belgian Cup action thanks to Tom De Sutter's strike.

Sacha Kljestan started in his usual midfield position and went the distance for les Mauves however he was shown a yellow card 12 minutes into the game and will now miss the first leg of the semi-finals.

De Sutter's goal came in the 16th minute after the Gent defense was caught napping. Youngster Dennis Praet spotted the Belgian international and centered the ball, which De Sutter had no problem putting away.

The solitary goal was enough to put Anderlecht through to the semi-finals after coming away with a 1-1 score line in the away leg of these quarter-finals.

The defending champions will now take on Racing Genk, who beat Zulte Waregem 5-1 over the two legs. Before then however, Anderlecht will host Waregem this Sunday in league action.
