Carlos Bocanegra arrived in Spain on Thursday and Racing Santander has confirmed that the American Captain was in training today but will not play this weekend against Hércules.

"Carlos Bocanegra arrived in Santander yesterday evening and this morning and has trained in Albericia," Racing's press officier Enrique Palacio told YA. "The player has not entered into the squad for the match against Hércules CF."

Visa issues kept Bocanegra out of Spain until late this week and he missed over a week of Santander's training and their match last week, a 2-1 win over Ponferradina.

Santander currently sit in the relegation zone in 19th position and Manager José Aurelio Gay said earlier this week that getting Bocanegra back, who is central to their plans, will be a big lift.

Bocanegra figures to be in the team on January 19th when they travel to the Canary Islands to take on Las Palmas.
