BRIAN SCIARETTA - Thursday, December 13, 2012
US U-20 head coach Tab Ramos today announced a 25 player roster for an upcoming camp in Florida that will end with a game against Venezuela on December 21.

The roster is led by MLS standout Luis Gil who has been a big part of the team the entire cycle. Other notable players include the Galaxy's Jose Villareal and Santos Laguna's Benji Joya who both broke through into the first teams at their respective clubs.

Also from England is Southampton's Cody Cropper who is the team's starting goalkeeper and Marc Pelosi who is playing regularly with Liverpool's U-21 team.

There are also other players who were likely invited but not released by their clubs. Hertha Berlin's John Anthony Brooks is emerging as a top 2.Bundesliga central defender and could be the start of this US U-20 team. Also, central defender Will Packwood is on the first team at Birmingham City and will remain with his club.

Watch out for Brandon Allen! He is a wide body with quicker feet than you expect. The times I see him he is making key plays to win games. Keep an eye on him.
