Leo Krupnik and Maccabi Netanya fell to Beitar Jerusalem while none of the other Americans in Israel were in action

Maccabi Netanya 0 - 1 Beitar Jerusalem

Leonard Krupnik played 70 minutes for Maccabi Netanya as they lost to Beitar Jerusalem.

The seesaw affair was opened by Beitar in the 13th minute when midfielder Avi Rikan notched his sixth goal of the season and beat Netanya goalie Luigi Cennamo to go ahead. Netanya came roaring back when Serbian attacker Dragan Ćeran put the hosts on the scoreboard.

The back and forth match continued at a frenzied pace, which saw both sides narrowly miss goals. In the 67th minute, Beitar again went ahead on an Eran Levi strike from long range. Netanya fought back and was rewarded with a tap in goal in the 76th minute when Serge Lobo directed in the ball from close range after a scramble in the Beitar six yard box.

Surely Netanya thought they would manage a draw at home after their second game tying goal but the red hot Beitar would not be denied. In the 93rd minute, Rikan would get his second game winning goal in two weeks and guaranteed all three points to the Jerusalem squad.

The win sees Beitar move into fourth place and Netanya fall into 11th position in the Israeli League. Netanya looks to get back in the win column on Saturday, December 8 when they visit Maccabi Haifa. Beitar next play league leader's Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Bryan Gerzicich did not play for Ironi Kiryat Shmona as they beat Ironi Ramat HaSharon 2-0 at home.

Ryan Adeleye was an unused substitute in Hapoel Be'er Sheva's 1-0 win over Bnei Yehuda on Saturday
