PREVIEW: WEEKEND NORWEGIAN ACTION
PREVIEWS
EXTRA TIME
MATHEW WAGNER - Wednesday, November 14, 2012
The final matches of the Tippeligaen season occur this weekend, with Steve Clark and Hønefoss needing a win to ensure survival.

Fredrikstad FK - Molde FK

Having already won the Norwegian title, Josh Gatt and Molde will play without pressure against Fredrikstad on Sunday.

Molde clinched its second-consecutive Norwegian title last Sunday with a win over Hønefoss and a Strømsgodset loss. The team went into celebration mode at home, and Molde will continue to celebrate in the season finale.

Unlike Molde, Fredrikstad has a lot riding on this match. The home team sits in 15th place, two points to Hønefoss and Sandnes Ulf in safety and one point to Sogndal in the promotion playoff spot. A win would go a long way to give Fredrikstad a chance to play another season in the Tippeligaen.

Molde will be without defender Even Hovland, while Jørgen Horn and Andreas Landgren are out for Fredrikstad due to yellow card accumulation.

Hønefoss BK - Rosenborg

Steve Clark and Hønefoss must fight for the right to play in the Norwegian top division in 2013 against Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg on Sunday.

Clark and Hønefoss have 32 points, pending the result of their appeal to the NFF for the one-point deduction levied against them last week. The penalty came as a result for Clark playing with an expired work permit for the first 12 matches of the season.

Despite all the drama and the 13-match winless streak, all Hønefoss has a simple scenario: With a win, Hønefoss will survive for another season.

With all hopes of a title gone, Rosenborg doesn't have much to play for at this point, as Rosenborg has all but locked up third place and a spot in Europa League qualification. It would take Tromsø win, a Rosenborg loss and a 10-plus goal differential swing for Rosenborg to drop out of third.

Joachim Magnussen is questionable for Hønefoss. Tarik Elyounoussi and John Chibuike are questionable for Rosenborg.

FK Bodø/Glimt - Ullensaker/Kisa IL

Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Ullensaker/Kisa look to shock yet another opponent at Bodø/Glimt on Saturday.

Coming into the playoffs with the last playoff spot, Ullensaker/Kisa upset the top seed Sandefjord 4-3 on Wednesday. Di Vita Jensen played a big role in the win, recording an assist on the first goal and scoring the eventual game-winning goal.

Bodø/Glimt also pulled off the upset on Wednesday. The home team moved on with a 2-1 win over fourth place Mjøndalen.

Forward Eirik Soltvedt will be out for Ullensaker/Kisa, while midfielder Christian Berg is out for Bodø/Glimt.

Notes

Forward Chad Barrett will hope to feature for Vålerenga against Viking on Sunday.
