Jozy Altidore scored twice while adding his second assist in his last two games AZ's win at VV Sneek in the KNVB Cup.

Johann Gudmundsson scored the first goal for AZ just three minutes after the opening whistle. The Icelandic winger was not done and doubled his goal tally on the day in the 47th minute on an assist from Altidore.

Marc van der Veen brought the amateur hosts within one in the 52nd minute with a free kick which AZ goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado could do nothing about.

Altidore tempered the hosts enthusiasm almost immediately afterwards when he scored in the 53rd minute.

The American continued his fine day in the 60th minute by poking home a low cross from Adam Maher at the far post to secure AZ's 4-1 victory.

AZ return their focus to Eredivisie play this weekend when they face VV Venlo on Sunday.
