USMNT TO VISIT RUSSIA
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Thursday, October 18, 2012
US Soccer today announced that the United States national team will take on Russia on November 14 in Krasnodar.

For the United States, the game will serve as the first step towards preparation for next year's final World Cup qualifying round. On Tuesday, the U.S. team defeated Guatemala 3-1 to finish atop Group A and advance towards the Hexagonal round.

Russia have been playing extraordinarily well in World Cup qualifying and they sit in first place in Group F. The team has won all four of its games including a 1-0 win over Portugal last Friday.

The game is likely the last for the U.S team in 2012 and with the MLS playoffs underway, the roster is expected to consist mostly of European-based players.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
