The agent for American midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has debunked rumors that the Rangers player will move to reigning Swedish champion Helsingborg IF.

Swedish media reports over the weekend have suggested that the one-time Orebro star would return to the Allsvenskan, but agent Patrick Mork has denied these whispers.

"The is no truth about Helsingborg," Mork told YA on Monday. "We will see soon what will happen with [Bedoya]."

Bedoya began his professional career in 2009 in Sweden before moving to Rangers in the transfer window during the summer 2011.

In recent months, Rangers have crumbled due to a financial scandal and the club is now in the fourth tier in Scotland.

Bedoya was not a part of the Rangers' 2-1 Challenge Cup win over Brechin over the weekend.

Two other American Rangers stars, Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu, remain on the disgraced Scots' roster.
