Cobresol allowed yet another lead sneak away against Real Garcilaso and had to settle for a draw at home as their disappointing season in the Peruvian Primera continued.
New York City's Diego Chavarri started and played 83 minutes for Cobresol.
In the 20th minute, Cobresol took the lead as Chavarri's deflected pass found Sergio Ubillus in the middle of the field. Ubillus made a nice move and while being pulled down found Tunde Enahoro alone in the box. Enahoro's shot was saved by Real Garcilaso keeper Juan Goyoneche but Alxander Cordero was there to put away the rebound and give Cobresol a 1-0 lead.
In the 68th minute, Real Garcilaso equalized when a cross from the right side delivered by Jamie Huerta found Andy Pando who slammed a sliding volley into the net to even the score at 1-1.
With the draw, Cobresol are now have a deficit of 11 points to climb out of last place in the Peruvian Primera.
Cobresol return to action on Wednesday when they visit CD Universidad San Martín de Porres.
