BRIAN SCIARETTA - Wednesday, May 16, 2012
US U-20 forward Jerome Kiesewetter has left Hertha Berlin and has signed a four year contract today with VfB Stuttgart

Sources close to the player confirmed the deal to YA on Wedensday. The deal will run through the end of the 2015/16 season.

Kiesewetter, a 6'3 center forward, has been with Hertha Berlin and has seen time with both their U-19 and U-23 teams last season. In recent months he had been playing both forward and central defense.

Kiesewetter, 19, was born in Berlin but speaks English and holds an American passport through his father who was stationed in Germany while serving for the US Military.

Over the past two years, Kieswetter has spent time with US youth national teams. He was first called up by Thomas Rongen during the 2011 U-20 cycle but recently has played with the US U-18 team at the Milk Cup. His last appearance was in November at a combined US U-20/U23 camp.
