Ex-Long Island University attacker Sean Rush has seen complications arise with Serie B club Treviso and will not be joining the Veneto side.
As previously reported on YA in mid-January, Rush had penned a pre-contract agreement with the club and was to join with the Northeastern Italians tomorrow for preseason preparations.
"Several issues have come up in regards to the player's registration," Treviso General Director Giovanni Gardini commented to YA. "Not only with regards to [Rush] but also with a few other players that we had hoped to have come in this summer."
"At this time he will not be coming to Treviso and we will begin our summer schedule without him."
Rush, while not willing to comment on the record, has suggested that hopes for finding an Italian club do survive and that his agent Mahmood Ebrahimzadeh remains in Italy while trying to thrash out a deal with other interested parties.
Prior to having played at LIU, the 5' 10" midfielder was a standout in the Olympic Developmental Program and famed youth side Baltimore Bays.
