BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, March 5, 2012
YA has learned that Birmingham City's American midfielder/defender Will Packwood has made the gameday roster for the first time in his career for tomorrow's FA Cup game vs. Chelsea.

Sources have confirmed the news to YA on Monday.

Packwood, 18, has long been a regular with US youth systems in the past. In 2009 he was on the US U-17 World Cup team and since then he has been on the US U-18 and US U-20 teams.

He is expected to be part of the US U-20 team as it builds towards the 2013 World Cup.

Packwood was born in the United States but is also a dual citizen with England thereby allowing him to play in England before he turned 18.

What is his best position DCM or CB? Definitely will be a good greta experience for him. Who knows maybe he gets on the field.
